Pride Parade

I finally got to attend the pride parade for the first time this year. I was so excited and the experience did not disappoint. I was surrounded by people from all over celebrating who they are and with no cares!
Bright colors and an abundant amount of glitter engulfed this safe place for everyone.  I didn't know what to expect but I knew it would be a good time. This may sound cheesy but I was almost crying (happy tears) for the unity and harmony in everyone around me. I wish everyday could be the same as that day for everyone.

I don't believe that sex or gender should play a role in what you think of people. "Love everyone always," is my famous quote and I hope that is what I am remembered by. I believe that as long as everyone has a good heart and a willing to accept people the world would be much happier.
I felt that the pride parade encompassed those feelings. I saw so much love from everyone. When I was looking around I only saw smiles!!!
I do truly believe that peace can be had if people stopped judging everyone and just worrying about how you are presenting yourself to the world. I know that everyone is full of love and drive, it just depends on the way you use it. So I chalk this experience up to a great one, and I will be attending from now on. I love being surrounded by love and peace, if even for just a couple of hours.
In case any of you were wondering I did get a really bad sunburn and just a bit sick from the heat. Regardless of that I wouldn't have traded the experience for anything. I think we should have random parades throughout the year to celebrate love and peace and harmony. (Man I sound like a great big hippie!!! and I love it!)
Message for today: Celebrate who you are and bring happiness and peace to everyone in your life. Remember that you are you because the world needs a person like you!
